Sambari in a simple ceremony held here on Sunday June 2 afternoon.
Rajasthan Royals player Ankit Chavan was arrested in the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing scam recently released on six-day bail by a court in the national capital on Friday May 31 in order to enable him enter into the wedlock, which was planned several months ago.
After his marriage and post-wedding functions, Ankit Chavan will return to the prison on Thursday June 6, as per the court orders.
Smiling but somber, Ankit Chavan arrived on Sunday afternoon at the wedding venue — Kohinoor banquet hall near Shivaji Park — in a marriage procession that included family members, friends, a few neighbours and several plain-clothed policemen.
