HDK to file nomination from Chikkaballapura tomorrow

  BelgaumBelgaum, Mar 25: JD(S) leader and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy will be filing his nomination  papers as a candidate from Chikkaballapura Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday, March 26.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, March 25, Kumaraswamy said he was contesting from Chikkaballapura as per the wishes of the people of the district.

On the confusion over the candidature  of former union minister and senior Congressman C.K. Jaffer Sharief from Mysore on a JD(S  ticket, Kumaraswamy said Sharief had promised to contest on a JD(S) ticket, prior to leaving for Mecca. He had even taken along the B Form but has now sent a fax saying he would not contest.

BJP is playing dirty politics: Congress spokesperson Singhvi

Bangalore: “BJP is playing dirty politics by raking up sensitive defence issues and spreading false information against Congress ahead of Lok Sabha polls,” Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi  alleged during a press meet on Tuesday March 18.
Singhvi also stated that Congress could also resort to a counter attack   by asking the BJP  as to how intruders were allowed to enter India in 1999 during the Kargil war when the NDA was in power.   But, the Congress has not done so and we are not going to do it over defence matters, he added.
Further he said that if statistics are taken into consideration, then states like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana are in the first position in some parameters like human development index or economic growth while Gujarat was in sixth or seventh. “This clearly shows the deceit of  Modi," he added.
Lastly Singhvi said that the people have to decide which government performed better and vote accordingly. During the press meet Congress chief G Parameshwar also addressed the meeting.
