JD(S) leader and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy will be filing
his nomination papers as a candidate from Chikkaballapura Lok Sabha
constituency on Wednesday, March 26.Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, March 25, Kumaraswamy said he was contesting from Chikkaballapura as per the wishes of the people of the district.
On the confusion over the candidature of former union minister and senior Congressman C.K. Jaffer Sharief from Mysore on a JD(S ticket, Kumaraswamy said Sharief had promised to contest on a JD(S) ticket, prior to leaving for Mecca. He had even taken along the B Form but has now sent a fax saying he would not contest.
Chikkaballapura LS constituency will see a fight between union minister Veerappa Moily, former minister of BJP BN Bache Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy.
