Bangalore: The Bangalore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express derailed while being reversed to the yard inside the station and rammed
into the compound of the Railway quarters on Sunday November 24.

Rajdhani Express had just arrived at the City Railway Station yard
around 3 pm, when the rear of the train got stuck. It is also learnt
that the train was empty and no casualties were witnessed.
A Railway official said, “The Rajdhani Express, its bogies were attached to the engine, the train was being moved backwards and one of the rear bogies hit the compound wall of the Railway quarters, which resulted in a couple of bogies falling off the track."
The residents staying in the railway quarters were in for a shock after the train broke through the compound wall of the Railway quarters, but they were assured by Anil K Agarwal, the divisional railway manager. He went to the accident spot and said: “I inspected the spot and there was no fault with the tracks. Saturday night’s rain has no role in the incident.
Although the Railway officials, refused to confirm this and said they were still investigating the reason for the train going off track. Bangalore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express was set to depart for Delhi at 7:20 pm on Sunday.
