Mangalore : Traffic on the Mallikatta Road was disrupted for a few hours during the wee hours of Thursday June 12 after a huge Mayflower tree rolled onto the road following heavy rains.
Luckily there was no traffic on the road when the tree got uprooted.
Though the incident took place at around 4.30 am, the fire service personnel took as long as five hours to arrive at the spot at around 9.15 am much to the ire of the public.
The road was cleared of the tree branches by the fire service personnel with the help of local autorickshaw men.
