Science solves social evils, Tulasi Maddineni




Mangalore : Science plays a  vital role in the removal of plastic. When a scientist  Ronald Vas has been able to find out a medicine for Malaria, we can believe that science can cure all social diseases, said DK district panchayat officer Tulasi Maddineni
She was speaking on the occasion of Science seminar organised at Dr Shivram Karanth Nisargadhama at Pilikula under the joint partnership of Karnataka Balavikasa Academy, Dharwad, Women and Child development department, Mangalore, Social Education Department and IRAS Bangalore.

Dr K V Rao has organised several seminars for those students who are interested in Science and made them scientists. We should work for the nation. We should not be money minded in serving our country. We should work along with students and people will remember us for our work. Teachers also should encourage the students.

Resource person Harish Bhat said Scientific discoveries leads to better life.People are becoming lazy and only machines are working. We should not become slaves of science. It should become our slave.

Malathi Kaur, convenor of Balavikasa Academy said all over karnataka we have organised one day seminar for the development of children. In today's seminar students from Mangalore, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, shimoga, chitradurga and Davangere participated. In the coming days we have plans of giving Young Scientist Award to three students in the seminar organised at Davangere she said.

Dr K V Rao presided over the programme. Women and Child development sub-director Gertrude Veigas welcomed the gathering. Women and child development department officer Usman thanked. Assistant Infant development officer Shobha mastered the ceremony.
