Bangalore:Gujrath CM Narendra Modi will visit Bangalore
in September. As a BJP Campaign Committee chairperson, he is here to
hold consultations with Karnataka leaders, for Lok Sabha polls
preparations , said the BJP National General Secretary Ananth Kumar.
This was announced at a meeting ,
held of newly elected party district and taluk presidents on Tuesday.
Ananth Kumar further said, Modi will also hold a meeting with party
workers outside Bangalore. He claimed that there was an anti-Congress
wave across the country and the State unit of the BJP will soon work out
a strategy to face the Lok Sabha polls.
Meanwhile, BJP State president Pralhad Joshi said the party will consider entering into pre-poll alliance with JD(S) for Bangalore (Rural) and Mandya Lok Sabha bypolls, if the latter comes with a formal request.
Joshi said he had no information about reports that former chief minister Jagadish Shettar and former deputy chief minister R Ashoka had held discussions with JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy about forging an alliance to take on the Congress in the by polls.
