Bangalore:The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Independent MLA from Kudligi B.Nagendra here on Thursday in connection with the ongoing investigations into the Bilekeri missing
iron ore case.
CBI sources said Mr. Nagendra was arrested when he appeared before CBI officials following summons. The allegation against Mr. Nagendra is that his firm Eagle Traders supplied illicit iron ore to S.B. Logistics, an export company owned by Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh, for export from the Bilekeri port.
Police inspector Ramakanth Hullar, who recently secured bail in the Deccan Mining Syndicate scam, was re-arrested by the CBI on Thursday evening.
He has been accused of collecting bribes from transporters who were supplying illicit ore by lorries from Bellary to dumping yards owned by Mallikarjun Shipping in the Bilekeri port.
