Patna serial blast;IM hand suspected

Patna:Six persons were killed and 83 others injured as seven low-intensity serial blasts rocked Patna on Sunday, six of which went off in and around the venue of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modis mega-rally at the historic Gandhi Maidan here, shortly before he was due to address the huge gathering, leading to panic in a section of the crowd.

Coal Scam:CBI files FIR against K M Birla

New Delhi:The Central Bureau of Investigation today registered a case against industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla and former Coal Secretary P.C. Parekh in connection with alleged irregularities in allocation of coal blocks in 2005. After registering the 14th FIR in the coal scam, CBI teams carried out coordinated searches at nearly six locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bhubaneshwar.
