Govt urged to extend Shaadi Bhagya to Hindu girls too
By Anonymous at 1:01 pm
No comments
Mangalore:The state unit of the Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha has come down heavily on the state government for introducing Shaadi Bhagya scheme for girls hailing from economically backward families belonging to minority communities.
Speaking to reporters here Swami Pranavanandaram, State Working President of the Mahasabha has urged the government to extend the scheme to even Hindu girls from poor families.
He said the Shaadi Bhagya scheme was aimed at nothing but appeasing minorities. Swami Pranavanandaram also made a mockery of the state government over this and said the CM better change his name as ‘Maulana alias Siddique Siddaramaiah.”
The Hindu Mahasabha leader further lashed out at the state government for the proposed Bill aimed at curtailing some religious practices in the name of superstition and urged the government to immediately withdraw its decision in this regard.
He also charged the police of unnecessarily booking some sadhus in connection with the Khadga Deeksha programme which the Sabha had announced earlier. On the Sowjanya case, he said the Sabha has no objection to a CBI probe and added the reputation of Dharmasthala and Heggade family should however not be harmed.
